This time of year is considered the giving season.
The many religious holidays that fall in this month celebrate the joy of sharing. And as the year winds down, some folks embrace the closure as a time of reflection and generosity.
Palm Beachers are no exception. Indeed, their well-known generosity is the reason so many charities host events on the island during season.
And thanks to the Town of Palm Beach United Way's annual toy drive — now in its 30th year — residents have a home-grown way to help some Palm Beach County charities ensure a brighter holiday for disadvantaged children and teenagers. The event complements the organization's annual food drive and school-supplies drive.
